7th Annual Red Ribbon 5K Run/Walk

This race was first run locally in 1992 and is part of the nationally-celebrated Red Ribbon Week to promote a drug-free lifestyle. The course starts at the Mountaineer Mall south of Morgantown, follows the Green Bag Road, turns left onto Mississippi Street, makes a loop around White Park and surrounding neighborhood before returning to the Green Bag Road and a challenging uphill finish.

Attractions include long-sleeved T-shirts as well as pizza/cookies/refreshments and random prizes prior to the awards presentation in the Mall after the race. Kids under 11 run for free!
